量子點(diǎn)，又可稱為納米晶，是一種由II－VI族或III－V族元素組成的納米顆粒。量子點(diǎn)的粒徑一般介于1～10 nm之間，由于電子和空穴被量子限域，連續(xù)的能帶結(jié)構(gòu)變成具有分子特性的分立能級結(jié)構(gòu)，受激后可以發(fā)射熒光。量子點(diǎn)具有吸收光譜寬、發(fā)射光譜窄而對稱、生物相容性好、熒光壽命長等優(yōu)點(diǎn)，在太陽能電池、發(fā)光器件和生物標(biāo)記等領(lǐng)域具有廣泛的應(yīng)用前景。

The CdSe core is highly uniform with a narrow particle size distribution (±10%). The CdS shell is less than 1nm and stabilizes the core. The second shell of ZnS provides additional stability and is 1-2 nm thick.
